Earth’s Rotation

It’s a scientific fact that the earth rotates round its own axis in a circular motion and its speed at the equator is about 1670 km per-hour, a speed that’s faster than that of sound which is 1,200 km per-hour, still we don’t feel such rotation. Allah, the exalted says in the holy Qur’an:

“Thou seest the mountains and thinkest them firmly fixed: but they shall pass away as the clouds pass away: (such is) the artistry of Allah, who disposes of all things in perfect order: for he is well acquainted with all that ye do.”  Naml or Ants: 27:88

In addition to rotating round its axis, the earth rotates round the sun very fast, more than one hundred thousand km per-hour. In other words, the earth rotates round itself one full rotation every day and rotates round the sun one full rotation every year and it also rotates along with the solar group round the center of the galaxy in more than 200 million years to complete one rotation. Let’s contemplate the following ratios concerning the rotations; a day, a year, 200 million years. What’s more is that the entire galaxy rotates in an enormous orbit whose end is known by no one except for Allah, the omniscient; Allah, the almighty says in the holy Qur’an:

“It is not permitted to the Sun to catch up the Moon, nor can the Night outstrip the Day: Each (just) swims along in (its own) orbit (according to Law).” Ya-Sin: 36: 40

Such facts prove the mighty of Allah, the great; all glory to Allah.

The Earth’s Water

he radius of the earth is Talmost 6,400 km and its medial crustal thickening is 30 km below the continents and mountains, but it becomes around 5 km below sea beds and oceans. Such layer is thin and breakable and that’s why the earth’s crust is divided into 12 plates or more. Enormous masses of seas, therefore, slip from the bottom of oceans and dive under the ground. Scientists are concerned about the loss of quantities of fresh water deep under the ground and the inability of people to make use of it. All glory to Allah, the almighty for the holy Qur’an warns against such a phenomenon and talks about the possibility of disappearance of water under the layers of the earth. Allah, the exalted says in the holy Qur’an:

“And We send down water from the sky according to (due) measure, and We cause it to soak in the soil; and We certainly are able to drain it off (with ease).” Mu’minun or the Believers: 23: 18

Allah also says in the holy Qur’an:

“Say: "See ye?- If your stream be some morning lost (in the underground earth), who then can supply you with clear-flowing water?"” Mulk: 67: 30

Shall we then return to the path of Allah, the exalted!

The Lower Heavens

contemplate the galaxies of the universe, we’ll realise that such galaxies consist of billions of stars and such stars adorn the sky, heavens …

What’s meant by lower heavens that are mentioned in the holy Qur'an? If we contemplate the galaxies of the universe, we’ll realise that such galaxies consist of billions of stars and such stars adorn the sky, heavens. It could be said, therefore, that all the stars and galaxies that we see around us is within the boundaries of the lower heavens because Allah, the exalted says in the holy Qur’an:

“So He completed them as seven firmaments in two Days, and He assigned to each heaven its duty and command. And We adorned the lower heaven with lights, and (provided it) with guard. Such is the Decree of (Him) the Exalted in Might, Full of Knowledge.” Fussilat: 41:12

Lights in the above verse means stars and as we know that stars are outside the solar group and the closest star to us in planet earth is 4.3 light years away i.e. all the stars we see adorn the first or lower heavens. As for the other heavens, merely Allah, the omniscient knows their boundaries.

It is We Who have set out the zodiacal signs in the heavens, and made them fair-seeming to (all) beholders;” Hijr or the Rocky Tract: 15: 16

Les scientifiques ont constaté que ce qui régit le mouvement de l’univers, assure sa survie et empêche son effondrement est la «gravité», ce qui n'a pas été découvert qu’au XXe siècle seulement, mais le Coran a parlé de ce mystère voila  il ya quatorze siècles ; Le  Tout-Puissant dit : (25. Et parmi Ses signes le ciel et la terre sont maintenus par Son ordre; ensuite lorsqu'Il vous appellera d'un appel, voilà que de la terre vous surgirez. ) [AR-RUM(LES ROMAINS) : 25]. Le miracle se reflète dans le verset : (Le ciel et la terre sont maintenus par Son ordre) .Les forces de gravité étant une des créatures d’ALLAH qui agissent sous  l'ordre d’ALLAH, le ciel et la terre et tous les éléments de  l'univers ne peuvent assurer leur maintien, leur continuité et leur cohésion que grâce à ces forces d’attraction, qui sont du ressort d’ALLAH Tout-Puissant.
